About SBA 2024

About The Smyrna Business Association

The Smyrna Business Association was founded in 1983 in an effort to make the city of Smyrna a more inviting place to establish and conduct business while building the community.

Early Days

By working through local government initiatives, The SBA supported efforts to build a railroad overpass at Atlanta Road, culminating in the dedication of the Arthur T. Bacon Memorial Bridge on July 11, 1988.

The SBA also raised $10,000 to help make the lighting of South Cobb Drive a reality and successfully proposed to have the name of “Windy Hill Road” extended west to South Cobb Drive.

Such major achievements contributed to the improvement of Smyrna’s connectivity with other areas of Cobb County and energized its public image.
